These ten chapters form the first part of the tale of the elf Ryel and her friend Arkmar, in search of the Seventeen Pieces scattered across Dream World.
Ryel is the black sheep of a middle class family of the Elves of Tolkien’s Middle Earth. Arkmar is: well, all we know is that he’s a dwarf, but from where? They meet, of course, by one of them saving the other’s life, and the pattern continues, across Lovecraft’s Dream World as they search for something that someone wants for some reason.
